Safer Drivers Course TAREE

The Safer Drivers Course in Taree combines both low risk and defensive driving techniques designed for young drivers. The course was created for NSW learner drivers under the age of 25, after research has proven that novice drivers are most vulnerable in their first year of driving solo. In fact, in NSW, crash data shows that novice drivers are approximately three (3) times more likely to be involved in a fatal crash than the average crash rate for all drivers. The learner driver course in Taree, will help prepare learner drivers to become safer drivers as they progress to their P’s. But before booking a driving test, they must pass the NSW Hazard Perception Test (HPT). Completing a safe driving course also helps learner drivers understand the importance of driver attitude and behaviour.

In this 20 logbook hour safe driving program, learner drivers will be taught the techniques and strategies to help minimise unnecessary risk taking, dangers of distractions and influences that can affect a drivers capability. If you’re looking for an NSW driver safety course that will help enhance the decision making skills for participants when driving then book today. The course is only five (5) hours in duration and involves a theory (Module 1) and practical component (Module 2).

Throughout the course, students will learn about the importance of effective scanning and observation skills to safely and effectively respond to hazards or potential hazards, in varying situations. They will also have a far better understanding about the different crash types and why a safe following distance is crucial when following other vehicles. In addition to safe following distances, understanding the difference between reaction time vs response time is also beneficial.

Upon completion of the course, many students often leave knowing more road rules than before they started as well as the legality issues surrounding mobile phone laws in NSW when operating a vehicle.
